Becoming a Volunteer
Whether it is reading alongside a student, helping to solve a math problem, working hands-on in the woodshop class, organizing the English Department bookroom, or correcting papers, there are many opportunities to support the teachers and students at Sonoma Valley High School.
A growing number of people are taking direct positive action on behalf of Sonoma's students. You could be one of them. Volunteering in the classroom is a great opportunity to be role model in the lives of the youth of Sonoma Valley. The support of volunteers enables the students to receive critical reinforcement of the concepts thus providing the affirmation of small successes and personal encouragement that is pivotal to learning.
