About the Program

Teacher Support Network is a community based volunteer program that will recruit and link community volunteers with students/ teachers at Sonoma Valley High in order to help them create the best learning environment. Effective utilization of volunteer time will result in teachers having more time to do the critical tasks they need to do, as well as giving a satisfactory experience to volunteers. This can only happen if it is teacher lead, well organized and an effective working relationship is developed between the volunteer and the teacher.

Volunteers agree to spend at least one hour a week volunteering for a minimum of one semester. After being screened, the volunteer's preferences and skills will be matched with the teachers needs. Scheduling details will be worked out by the teachers and the volunteer.
